Recently, immigration to Poland has become a more common phenomenon because it is now possible to apply for a TRP immediately upon arrival in the country.

Based on employment / internship
- The employer must provide a work / internship permit in Poland
- Permit is valid for 3 years, unless the place of work is changed
- Those having lived in the country with a TRP can apply for a Permanent Residency and consequently a citizenship in Poland
For the purpose of studying in Poland
- Poland is a country that has a more accessible education compared to other EU countries
- Throughout the whole process of studying, the TRP is prolonged automatically each year
- The Polish authorities provide for free studying places for foreigners who have a Pole's Card
For the purpose of starting and operating a business in Poland
- Permit is given for the period of 8 months, after which the alien resident has the right to prolong the TRP for 1 year
- Those having lived in the country with a TRP for 5 years can apply for a Permanent Residency in Poland and obtain a European residence card
Blue card
- Blue card is a type of TRP for the purpose of employment requiring high qualification
- High qualification is acquired after completing a five-year study in a university
- Blue card is given for no more than 3 years
Marriage to a Polish citizen
- The applicant needs to present documental evidence that the marriage is not fictional
- Those having lived in the country for 3 years with a TRP or for 2 years with a Permanent Residency can apply for obtaining Polish citizenship
